Why Administrators Love Membean
Membean has been transformative in enhancing our instruction at Memorial Middle School; we truly cannot imagine operating without this amazing program. Membean is our highest budget priority every year!
As an administrator overseeing curriculum and instruction, I analyze data on a near-daily basis. When implemented with fidelity, Membean serves as an excellent resource for both intervention and acceleration, helping students expand their vocabulary effectively.
Our school loves Membean for our vocabulary instruction! The engaging activities and independent learning that are embedded in Membean have afforded English teachers more class time to focus on reading and writing instruction.
After piloting, and subsequently implementing, Membean in two school districts, I have seen student vocabulary improve significantly. In fact, vocabulary is now the strongest domain in our state, national, and college-entrance English testing scores at Newman International Academy.
Membean has increased literacy in all subjects—its impact isn't limited to English classes or test scores. It allows our students to learn, analyze, and communicate using higher forms of vocabulary in any subject.
