Usage

  • distend

    If a part of your body distends, it becomes swollen and unnaturally large.

  • tendentious

    Someone who is tendentious is biased in their perceptions and opinions.

  • intend

    If you intend to do something, you plan on doing it or mean to carry it out.

    When you extend something, such as time or a rubber band, you stretch it out, make it bigger or longer, or increase it.
