I was certain or sure that I had been wearing my ring when I walked across the bridge because I remembered seeing it on my hand. I became worried that it might have fallen off my hand, and I hadn’t noticed. I was certain or complete in my belief that my ring was lost for good since it could have fallen in the water. My sister, though, was certain or had no doubt that we could find it if we looked hard enough; thankfully she was right—it had been in my pocket all along!
